Applying for a permit
To apply for an HPMV permit you will need to fill out an application form and apply through your regional NZTA office.
Before you apply:
Check the status of pending and approved HPMV applications
Has an HPMV permit already been approved for your proposed vehicle route?
- Check the status of HPMV applications that the NZTA is currently processing, including approved routes and other applications we have received.
- Consult our guidance maps. These show which routes have been approved, where HPMV vehicles can and cannot travel, and which routes are likely to receive further investment.
