Giving way at intersections

Around 2500 crashes occur each year at intersections because someone failed to stop or give way. That's around 50 crashes a week. Next to excessive speed and drink-driving, these crashes are one of the largest causes of death and injury on New Zealand roads. This includes crashes that occur with trains at level crossings.
