12.3 Tramways as special vehicle lanes
Requirements for marking and signing tramways when they travel on a roadway and the conditions under which they operate could be covered by rules relating to special vehicle lanes in both the Land Transport (Road User) Rule 2004 and the Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004. Guidance on these provisions will be included in the proposed Part 14 Special vehicle lanes of the Traffic control devices manual.
