Operating efficiently

Efficiency is one of the keys to making sure New Zealand’s state highway network performs as it’s been designed to do - enabling road users to reach their destinations quickly and safely. That's whether they are commuters going to and from work, bus drivers taking tourists around New Zealand or truck drivers carrying freight from ports and airports to their customers. We achieve efficiency in a number of ways - including using new technology, understanding customer needs, providing appropriate travel information and identifying alternative travel options.
