The NZTA is considering making changes to some funding assistance rates (FARs) and a grant for land transport activities so that any agreed changes can be incorporated into the 2012 National Land Transport Programme (NLTP). In addition to reviewing some FARs and a grant, we are also revisiting our Investment and Revenue Strategy (IRS) to ensure that it is aligned with the 2012 Government Policy Statement on Land Transport Funding.
We are considering making the changes proposed in the consultation document as a result of recent policy, priority and/or delivery model changes.
The consultation document sets out proposals for changes to the following five work categories:
- W/C 514: Passenger transport facilities operations and maintenance
- W/C 531: Public transport infrastructure
- W/C 432: Road safety community programmes
- W/C 002: Transport planning studies and strategies
- W/C 001: Regional land transport planning management (grant)
