The Operator Rating System (ORS) is a new system. It aims to provide a fair and accurate indication of both the safety of an operator's fleet and the operator's compliance with land transport safety legislation.
ORS will let operators know how well they're complying with legislation, help customers find and support operators that have good safety records and allow us to target regulatory activities where they are most needed.

ORS rates transport operators’ performance against New Zealand transport standards and regulations.
