The NZ Transport Agency's (NZTA) $4.5 million safety improvements project on Wellington's SH1 motorway started this month, with work on the replacement of crash barriers along the Thorndon Overbridge above Aotea Quay now underway.

Fraser Street intersection upgrade out to tender

The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) this week put out to tender the contract to upgrade the Fraser Street, 15th Avenue intersection. Rod James, NZTA's Bay of Plenty State Highway Manager says the project, known as Hairini Link Advanced Works, will improve safety for all road users and give immediate relief at the busy intersection.
