Craig Redmond

'To match my passion for technology in computing, I’m fortunate to be involved with the NZTA’s cutting-edge spatial technology. I have access to in-house resources that serve different types of aerial/satellite imagery and vector data layers to represent a visual map that is business focused and interactive. This has helped me increase my reservoir of spatial awareness and knowledge by learning a variety of new skills catering for different types of business needs.'

Kevin Reid

Kevin Reid is Project Manager for the NZTA's NZ$255 million Harbour Link Bridge project in Tauranga.

'I've enjoyed being given such a high level of responsibility. Since we arrived in New Zealand we've found it easy to fit in, it's a really friendly place. We've just built a new house and we love getting out the barbeque every summer.'

Rob Whight

A wandering mind and visions of a faraway land combined to bring Rob Whight, wife Dianne and children Emma and Michael from the United Kingdom to New Zealand - and for Rob, the position of Principal Project Manager for the NZTA's Transmission Gully project.

'Kiwis are incredibly friendly people and really take the time to help you out - and as capital cities go, you can't beat the friendly atmosphere in Wellington - people actually smile! There's a real 'can do' attitude over here and much less 'red tape'. Getting a bankcard, for instance, takes five minutes instead of a week, and when one goes in to take a driving test, you do it there and then and don't have to come back at a given time.'

Rob says he is fortunate to have a great team working with him on the Transmission Gully project, one of the largest roading projects ever proposed in New Zealand.

'The leader is only ever as good as the team behind him and I'm fortunate to have a great team here - everyone working together towards a common goal. With great teams, you can make great things happen.'
